What advice do you have for dealing with stress?
I seriously struggle with anxiety you wouldn’t believe BUT what usually snaps me out of it is getting outside, remembering to never take life too seriously, be vulnerable and talk it out, everything can be fixed and joy will come in the morning.
What makes you feel strong?
Honestly, the strength of my mother. She is was the middle child, she is now the last of her family. She’s lost both her parents and her 3 siblings all to cancer. Knowing how she hurts and the joy that her heart exudes anyways; I see that and know I can get through anything.
Three ways you get inspired
Studying cinema, writing and hearing peoples stories and Jesus
You’re in a room of teenage girls, what is the best advice you can give them?
Love each other everyday. Raise each other up. Don’t sit and nag on each other for no reason, you’re waisting time and energy for nothing. We all need one another. There is nothing like sitting down with another women, no matter where each of you come from and realize how similar you are in so many ways. That’s something I will never take for granted.
Who is one female, other than your mother, that propelled, supported, or gave you an opportunity in your life or career? What was her best advice?
I feel spoiled everyday with the women I am surrounded by here in San Diego. I have the best friends that can be honest and vulnerable. Sit and cry with each other when mourning or laugh until we cry. We push each other to be better and challenge each other in our crafts. That’s something I will be forever thankful for. They always pour so much value over me and inspire me to be ME and always me.
