Your favorite way to be active. Why do you love it?
I am not very active person, the truth is that since I was a child I was terrible in sports, so I refused for a long time to do physical activities. But walking is one of my favorite activities since always. I love climbing hills, walks on the beach or just wandering around the city. It allows me to think and reflect when I do it alone, but also with someone else and talk, or just listen music while you enjoy the view of the place where you are.

Find yourself in a slump, how do you motivate yourself?
When I was younger I went through a depression and for a long time I tried to deny it, I pretended that everything was fine when in fact I felt very bad and nothing was right in my life. But after a while I realized that pretending was not helping me at all so I decided to treat myself and get away from the things that made me feel bad, there is nothing wrong with accepting the help of others.

So now, when I am depressed I always try not to force myself too much, I prefer to accept negative feelings and not repress them, and when I have already pulled everything inside me, I think that there is nothing more to do than to return to get up. That’s why I do things that I regularly enjoy a lot, like eating things I like, or seeing a series or movie, and in this way I gradually feel better, because I realized that sometimes it takes time to recover from some bad things that happen to us, and we can’t force ourselves to get better quickly without giving us the time to heal.

What advice do you have for dealing with stress?
I am not very good at dealing with stress, so I try to be a fairly organized person. I order my time in adequate ways, that allows me to have time for relaxation or recreation in stressful times (like final exams). So my advice would be to try to organize your time, and avoid doing everything at the last hour, because it rarely works.

You’re in a room of teenage girls, what is the best advice you can give them?
Never be ashamed of yourselves, because every single one of you are awesome in your own way. When I was a teenager I always though I was not good enough, and I always felt ashamed of the things that I liked, or the way that I wanted to dress. For a long time, the only thing that I wanted was to fit with the other girls, but the truth was that I was not like them and when I accepted that, everything was way easier. You should never try to be someone else, just be you and enjoy it,.

What issue regarding women is important to you and how are you supporting it?
Where I live, street harassment happens every day, is naturalized, and is accepted by much of the population, which I find horrible. Every day women must listen the words of people who believe they have the right to say things that we never asked for, which makes it very difficult to walk quietly down the street. We live in fear, because every day they see us as objects, making them believe that they have the power over us and therefore the right to violate us physically or psychologically.

I think that this is really relevant in my current context, so I constantly try to raise awareness of this problem among people around me who have no greater awareness of this and in this way make it change the male perspective that has been maintained until the present.

The best thing a woman can be is.
Smart and emphatic. Personally, I feel that being intelligent is one of the best things in the world (of course, it’s a personal perception), because it allows you to understand many things more easily and quickly.

But being intelligent is useless if you don’t use that to make things better with the people around you, so it’s also necessary to be empathic, to understand the other and to put yourself in its place, because understand the others is the best way to not hurt them.
