What advice do you have for dealing with stress?
For me, it’s been really helpful to figure out what is stressing me out and find ways to eliminate it or reduce them. Second is to press pause, disconnect from social media/emails, and go do something that I love doing–whether it’s going for a walk, talking to a trusted friend, going to a cool event/seminar, or a great sweat session. Anything to get me out of my head and give me fresh perspective.
What makes you feel strong?

Find yourself in a slump, how do you motivate yourself?
When I’m in a slump or feeling down, I like to journal and write all my thoughts freely. I’ll write what’s bothering me, what I envision for myself in the future (5 years, a year, 6 months), and then figure out ways to achieve them. Being honest about my goals and thinking about the big picture always motivates me. I also regularly listen to inspiring podcasts–my favorites are Girlboss, Million$, anything with Tony Robbins, and Cherry Bombe.
Your favorite way to be active. Why do you love it?
Lately, I’ve been really into boxing at Shadowbox and Rumble. I’m also a big fan of 305 fitness and SoulCycle. I love that they’re incredibly intense, high energy workouts where you mentally and physically need to push yourself beyond your limits. Plus they’re really fun! I always leave on such a high–it’s like a night out dancing, except you don’t have a hangover 🙂

Who is one female, other than your mother, that propelled, supported, or gave you an opportunity in your life or career? What was her best advice?
I’ve been blessed with so many incredible female mentors throughout my life. My high school art teacher, my art school professor, and now other women entrepreneurs. The common theme is to truly believe in yourself and don’t be scared to push outside your comfort zone.
What is the best way to bounce back from a failure/mistake?
Don’t think of it as a failure. Every “failure” is a chance to learn something new. I’m a true believer that if you’re not making mistakes, you’re not doing anything.

What is a goal you have in 2017? Why is it important?
Be bold and fearless. Stop worrying about what could go wrong or what other people think. You only have one life and life is way too short to be anything less than!
