What advice do you have for dealing with stress?
Obstacles and challenges will always happen. It’s not what happens to you, it’s how you handle it. The same heat that softens the potato also hardens the egg. The only way diamonds are made are under pressure!
What makes you feel strong?
Kickboxing class! I feel like a badass 😉
The best thing a woman can be is
boldly and confidentially herself!
You’re in a room of teenage girls, what is the best advice you can give them?
Don’t be afraid to be yourself and chase your dreams. There will be plenty of people that will try to put you in a box or sell you on the idea that you’re never good enough. You ARE good enough the way you are. Always push to become a better you everyday- but don’t try to become anyone else! You can do ANYTHING as long as you believe. The only limits are in our minds. 🙂
What advice would you give a young woman struggling with body image?
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! Beauty is from within. Be genuine. Love yourself and love others. Your loving aura is the most beautiful thing about you!
What issue regarding women is important to you and how are you supporting it?
Domestic violence. My father always was an advocate of the White Ribbon Campaign, which fights against domestic abuse- and I think abuse unfortunately all too common. Through my freelance makeup gig, I support “Beauty Cares”- a non profit that gives women and their children in shelters free beauty makeovers to help them feel beautiful again- as well as offers support and resources to get them prepared to return to their “normal lives” again after the shelters! I like to donate money and have done makeup for the women once as well. I certainly plan to do it more!
List three things you love right now
Powder manicures! (They last for so long and not as harmful as Gel!)
Coffee shops or lounges with live music
Tips for saving money in your 20s?
1) Delayed gratification! If you can go without the Starbucks latte or new sweater today, that’ll turn into a beautiful vacation in the long run!
2) I would totally recommend looking up Dave Ramsey’s podcasts and books- especially “The Total Money Makeover”- it’s life changing!
3) Use cash! Psychologically, you will “feel” your money more and be more hesitant to spend it as quickly as compared to just swiping your card.
I feel most confident when I’m wearing
a sleek dress and great heels!
What beauty product can you not live without?
Black wingtip liner 🙂
